The provisions of Section 11 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 apply to this email notice and make it enforceable and binding on the recipient/addressee.

This email message (including attachments) contains information which may be confidential and/or legally privileged. Unless you are the intended recipient, you may not disseminate, use, copy or disclose to anyone the message or any information contained in the message or from any attachments that were sent with this email, and if you have received this email message in error, please advice the sender by email, and delete the message. Unauthorised disclosure and/or use of information contained in this email may result in civil and criminal liability.

Everything in this e-mail and attachments relating to the official business of Motla Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd (“MCE”), is proprietary to the company. However, mails are sent in the sender’s individual capacity and not on behalf of MCE if it is not related to the business of MCE.

No warranties are created or implied that an employee of MCE and/or a contractor of MCE is authorized to create and send e-mails received from them.

Reasonable measures are used to guard against the transmission of viruses or any form of malicious code, however no liability by MCE is accepted for its transmission.

Social Media Disclaimer

Motla Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd (MCE) recognizes their employee’s right to self-organize, form, join associations, collectively bargain, and to engage in other concerted activities for the purpose of collective bargaining or other mutual aid or protection.

MCE employees are therefore allowed to associate themselves with the company when posting information on social media but are, although encouraged to express themselves on social media cautioned to do so in a respectful manner and on condition that:

They must clearly brand their online posts as personal and purely their own, and indicate that they are sharing their own views and not the views of the company if they identified themselves as company employees on any of their Facebook, Tweets, LinkedIn or blog or personalized web pages, by means of the following statement;
“The views expressed on this web site/blog are mine alone and do not necessarily reflect the views of my employer, Motla Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd.

Furthermore, as integrity is MCE’s most important commodity, dishonorable content such as discrimination based on age, sexual orientation, race, color, religion, ethnicity, gender, national origin, citizenship, disability, or marital status will not be tolerated.

MCE employees as users of social media subject themselves and the content they exchange, to the terms and conditions of the format of their choice, the contravention of which involves consequences such as personal liability. Social media networks have access to and control over everything users disclose on their site. Any information contained there on might be turned over to the law enforcement authorities without the user’s consent or knowledge.

Finally, MCE reserves the right to edit or amend any misleading or inaccurate content depicted in blog posts. It also reserves the right to delete blog posts violating MCE’s code of conduct.
